The supporters of Aro FC booed when Norrlands Athen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Palm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Göran Sjögren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Palm's late challenge caught a Aro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Palm helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Jonas Palm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute of the match Pelle Nykvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per-Oskar Alefors skillfully saved the ball. In the 12th minute, Georg Klintæus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malte Olofsson in the 16th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Alefors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18th play minutes Georg Klintæus shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Per-Oskar Alefors and just under the crossbar into goal. 21 minutes into the match, Georg Klintæus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Per-Oskar Alefors. Norrlands Athen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Georg Klintæus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 26th minute Josef Hellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Oskar Alefors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes, Kent Backman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norrlands Athen and the Aro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Norrlands Athen getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Kent Backman hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Hellbom came free, but Per-Oskar Alefors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Aro FC's Malte Olofsson made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per-Oskar Alefors was left in no man's land by his defense there! Per-Oskar Alefors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Klintæus in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Malte Olofsson came free, but Per-Oskar Alefors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norrlands Athen's Per-Oskar Alefors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georg Klintæus in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Malte Olofsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Malte Olofsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Per-Oskar Alefors made a huge save. Niklas Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Hultstrand in the 55th minute of the match. Per-Oskar Alefors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georg Klintæus, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Per-Oskar Alefors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josef Hellbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Aro FC's Georg Klintæus ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Per-Oskar Alefors. Per-Oskar Alefors yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when Aro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pelle Nykvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenneth Olenberg in the 72nd minute of play forced Aro FC's goalkeeper Niklas Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malte Olofsson got free with Per-Oskar Alefors in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
