When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Stian Systad sped through Huvudstaden's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joakim Gallberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stian Systad in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joakim Gallberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Øyvind Vestøl kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Cheeky Nuts United's Ken Nordtveit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joakim Gallberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Stian Hammeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Theodor Kapstad came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Cheeky Nuts United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theodor Kapstad couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stian Systad in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joakim Gallberg saved Huvudstaden from getting behind. Huvudstaden's Gabriel Magnusson pulled a muscle in his back after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Kent Milde charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Milde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Huvudstaden's Stefan Kiempe was substituted for Gabriel Magnusson. The supporters of Huvudstaden booed when Cheeky Nuts United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Milde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 53 played minutes Cheeky Nuts United got a freekick which was hit by Øyvind Vestøl. Carl Alefors was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Jens-Åke Alfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stian Systad charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 67 played minutes Huvudstaden got a freekick which was hit by Erling Blomqvist. Joakim Gallberg made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Stian Hammeren sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Stian Systad reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joakim Gallberg. The goal made the score 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yngve Ugla in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Morten Ueland saved Cheeky Nuts United from getting behind. Joakim Gallberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ken Nordtveit in the 79th minute. Huvudstaden's Joakim Gallberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stian Systad in the 82nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erling Blomqvist during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cheeky Nuts United booed when Huvudstaden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erling Blomqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stian Systad in the 89th minute of play forced Huvudstaden's goalkeeper Joakim Gallberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheeky Nuts United's Ken Nordtveit got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stian Systad in the 96th minute of play forced Huvudstaden's goalkeeper Joakim Gallberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute Stian Systad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joakim Gallberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cheeky Nuts United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
