The audience was convinced that Reinaud Goegebeur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noel Breckenfeld was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 32nd match minute, SALIMEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Reinaud Goegebeur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Breckenfeld was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reinaud Goegebeur in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Breckenfeld prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of SALIMEN booed when Groove Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannes De Beer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes SALIMEN got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Dantas. SALIMEN's Miguel Dantas got his second yellow card of the match in the 46th minute. The referee ordered Miguel Dantas off the ground. A collision led to SALIMEN getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Miguel Dantas hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reinaud Goegebeur to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reinaud Goegebeur during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Groove Athletic getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Reinaud Goegebeur hit a great ball. Evert Visch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandão Vides in the 62nd minute of play. When Teodoro Eger came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the SALIMEN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Eger couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the game, Reinaud Goegebeur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Noel Breckenfeld was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 75 played minutes SALIMEN got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Velasco. Evert Visch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Eger in the 77th minute of the match. Jeremias Valadares hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goalkeeper Noel Breckenfeld had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaud Goegebeur. The supporters of SALIMEN booed when Groove Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbrecht Uytebroeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evert Visch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Teodoro Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SALIMEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The SALIMEN supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Groove Athletic's performance. The match ended with a win for Groove Athletic.
