Spectators: 156 (Terracing: 117, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Jazz's Carmine Vieri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Cristian Balaban put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bianco Schiavio. In the 6th match minute, Jazz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Grifoni to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Mirciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Carafa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Navigatii Bacău's Bianco Schiavio threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Robert Oțeteleșanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bianco Schiavio made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Robert Oțeteleșanu sent off a good shot on target. Jazz's Bianco Schiavio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Răduțu in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Carmine Vieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Mirciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carmine Vieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes, Damiano Pedroni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jazz and the Navigatii Bacău players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antonello Catini hit a great ball. Bianco Schiavio made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Cristian Balaban sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Balaban made a kick off. A collision led to Jazz getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. After 71 minutes of play, Navigatii Bacău's Eric Şneapotă made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bianco Schiavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remus Răduțu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Armin Tedeschi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Mirciu having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Navigatii Bacău players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
