In the 10th minute Cirilo Cresencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Telesforo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Atlético Matorrales getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Julio Obeko hit a great ball. Cirilo Cresencio took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Telesforo. Jacobo Telesforo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 19th match minute, Chesterfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Cordareo to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the game, Daniel Ponc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Matorrales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chesterfield the free kick. After 20 played minutes Atlético Matorrales got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Ponc. When Cristian Tximitx fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chesterfield's protests and gave Cristian Tximitx a yellow card for diving instead. Cristian Tximitx kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Cirilo Cresencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Telesforo having to interfere. Jacobo Telesforo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Gelacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Jacobo Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Cresencio in the 38th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cirilo Cresencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gonzalo Bonano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Atlético Matorrales's goalkeeper Jacobo Telesforo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cirilo Cresencio. Jacobo Telesforo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Gelacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Romulo Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romulo Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Gonzalo Bonano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romulo Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Romulo Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Delmiro Gelacio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Telesforo. Atlético Matorrales's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delmiro Gelacio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 95 minutes into the match, Chesterfield's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Sancho came free, but Gonzalo Bonano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chants of Chesterfield echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Atlético Matorrales had held the ball for most of the match.
