Alexander Granato didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sokol Solakov went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Sokol Solakov put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Alexander Granato. Alexander Granato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dilyan Zagorski in the 28th minute of play. When Vasko Haralampiev came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Lokomotiv Plovdiv fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasko Haralampiev couldn't finish the play. Elia Losito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Yoto Ayvazov made a huge save. Galin Metzov hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the game, Edmondo Lucchetta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kroton F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lokomotiv Plovdiv the free kick. A collision led to Kroton F.C. getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Alexander Granato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sokol Solakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 47th minute Sokol Solakov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Granato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Kroton F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lokomotiv Plovdiv were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when Sokol Solakov made the kick off in the second half. Alexander Granato made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Vasko Haralampiev sent off a good shot on target. Kroton F.C.'s Alexander Granato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sokol Solakov in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galin Metzov in the 77th minute of play forced Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Alexander Granato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Alexander Granato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Galin Metzov. Ventzislav Ezekiev's late challenge caught a Kroton F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match was over Lokomotiv Plovdiv could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kroton F.C. throughout the match.
