William Desbois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaz Weatherhead, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honoré Letailleur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 47thth minute of the game Djamel Berlémont who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Staffy Terrier FC's Niall Deacon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Staffy Terrier FC's goal looked a bit too open when Djamel Berlémont came free, but Niall Deacon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When Émeric Germa came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the En avant de guingamp fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of En avant de guingamp booed when Staffy Terrier FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cliff Gilchrist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Djamel Berlémont reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Niall Deacon. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 80th minute, En avant de guingamp's Djamel Berlémont ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niall Deacon. Niall Deacon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 83rd minute Djamel Berlémont shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niall Deacon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Louis Le Comte fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored En avant de guingamp's protests and gave Louis Le Comte a yellow card for diving instead. Louis Le Comte hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Niall Deacon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Djamel Berlémont showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 95 minute of play. When the match was over En avant de guingamp could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Staffy Terrier FC throughout the match.
