Armand Pelsers made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Lander Macho sent off a good shot on target. Dre Tombeurs charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dre Tombeurs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Eendracht Vooruit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dre Tombeurs to maneuver through the defense. Lander Macho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armand Pelsers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lander Macho in the 19th minute. Teun Ceustermans kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Downchester City's Alatz March played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulus Volders in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th play minute Lander Macho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Armand Pelsers. 2-0. The supporters of Downchester City booed when Eendracht Vooruit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulus Volders didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Eendracht Vooruit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yanick Neef to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Eendracht Vooruit's Armand Pelsers got control of the ball when Lander Macho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armand Pelsers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lander Macho in the 38th minute. Xaiver Duarte hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The tension between the Eendracht Vooruit and the Downchester City players grew even worse after the yellow card. 68 minutes into the match, Eendracht Vooruit's goal looked a bit too open when Joan Gandia came free, but Armand Pelsers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Denis Montiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armand Pelsers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eendracht Vooruit's Dreas Iven got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Dreas Iven off the ground. Armand Pelsers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lander Macho in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Leoncio Gibert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Downchester City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. If Lander Macho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. Eendracht Vooruit's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joan Gandia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0.
