United Buzau's Ion Dăscălescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Pere in the 2nd minute of play. When Costică Biriș fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.S. United Buzau's protests and gave Costică Biriș a yellow card for diving instead. Costică Biriș hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Saverio Platon got a free kick in the 8th minute. Clemente Pere received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ion Dăscălescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Clemente Pere slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. A collision led to S.S. United Buzau getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Adrian Lucian hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s David Dunixi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ion Dăscălescu. Ion Dăscălescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 27th minute, Viorel Covataru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Clemente Pere came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Cartero de Agronomia F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Pere couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Adrian Lucian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Simon Berdaitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cartero de Agronomia F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saverio Platon got free with Ion Dăscălescu in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the game, Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Clemente Pere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ion Dăscălescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clemente Pere was the one to do the kick off. Ion Dăscălescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saverio Platon went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Ion Dăscălescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Dunixi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cartero de Agronomia F.C. made a substitution. Marcos Todor replaced Simon Berdaitz. After 69th play minutes Clemente Pere shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Ion Dăscălescu and just under the crossbar into goal. 75 minutes into the match, S.S. United Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when David Dunixi came free, but Ion Dăscălescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cartero de Agronomia F.C. booed when S.S. United Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Biriș didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.S. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clemente Pere in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ion Dăscălescu saved S.S. United Buzau from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the Cartero de Agronomia F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
