In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind RKO AFC's goalkeeper Poulus Farias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adolfo Zuazagoitia hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, RKO AFC's goalkeeper Poulus Farias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Costa. Gilvan Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poulus Farias having to interfere. Faustão Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Poulus Farias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséas Baptista in the 15th minute of play. Poulus Farias was a little too slow when Oséas Baptista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Igor Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tamariz Gallardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to RKO AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Pierre Dagnino hit a great ball. The long shot by Vicente Costa in the 20th minute really tested Poulus Farias's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Poulus Farias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Rezende in the 21st minute of play. Igor Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tamariz Gallardo in the 24th minute of the match. With a little luck, RKO AFC's Poulus Farias got control of the ball when Chicão Rosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the RKO AFC defense, Chicão Rosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Poulus Farias. The RKO AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Poulus Farias should have stopped the shot. Villa Verde FC's Igor Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tamariz Gallardo in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Ulises Fanjul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RKO AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Fanjul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tamariz Gallardo made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Villa Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Fanjul came free, but Igor Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Orlando Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Villa Verde FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Arantes couldn't finish the play. Joel Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Poulus Farias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, RKO AFC's Ulises Fanjul dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Chicão Rosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Poulus Farias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Adalberto Pellegri hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Poulus Farias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Rosa in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 minutes, Antônio Carlos Madureira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Verde FC and the RKO AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guido Ebensperger kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The Villa Verde FC fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Villa Verde FC's Chicão Rosa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
