An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Brasil in the 6th minute of play forced DPD FC's goalkeeper Nuno Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Nuno Pais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Belmiro Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, DPD FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Luz came free, but Nuno Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tio Patinhas getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jorge Rosa hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tio Patinhas's zone, Vítor Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dieguinho de Sousa came out of the goal and Vítor Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tarcisio Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, DPD FC's Alex Tristão got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute of the match Tarcisio Gaúcho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Pais showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Alexandre Luz put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nuno Pais. Tarcísio Calçada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Dieguinho de Sousa made a huge save. When Alexandre Luz came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tio Patinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Luz couldn't finish the play. In the 47th match minute, Tio Patinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Brasil to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Tio Patinhas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Belmiro Brasil made a kick off. Lisandro Rebocho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 55 minutes, Belmiro Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tio Patinhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belmiro Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Belmiro Brasil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Nuno Pais made a huge save. Vicente Quinaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Belmiro Brasil got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Tio Patinhas getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Egídio Soeiro hit a great ball. Lisandro Rebocho struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Dieguinho de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DPD FC. Lisandro Rebocho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Dieguinho de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vicente Quinaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th match minute, Tio Patinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes Tio Patinhas got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Souza. Lisandro Rebocho might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dieguinho de Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lisandro Rebocho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st match minute, Tio Patinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Nuno Pais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Tio Patinhas getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Tomé Rosado hit a great ball. Dieguinho de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Dieguinho de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Rebocho in the 93rd minute of play. Tio Patinhas were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over DPD FC's much stronger midfield.
