The Old Boys's Javier Gabirel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gvidonas Jakimavičius in the 10th minute of play. Javier Gabirel came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Mintis Vilnius's Andrius Bekeris. But to his dismay, Andrius Bekeris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Rūtenis Galkus kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The Old Boys's Fidel Vistruario couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FK Mintis Vilnius. In the 21st minute, FK Mintis Vilnius's Marijus Goštautas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marijus Goštautas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FK Mintis Vilnius protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marijus Goštautas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of FK Mintis Vilnius:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of The Old Boys:s goal. Lukas Dunauskas had in the 23rdth minute some difficulties stopping Sixto Cloyo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 24 played minutes FK Mintis Vilnius got a freekick which was hit by Žydrūnas Danielius. When Sixto Cloyo came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the The Old Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sixto Cloyo couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Arūnas Mažulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lukas Dunauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Leoiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Feliciano Leoiar kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th match minute, The Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Uzuri to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrius Bekeris was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Sixto Cloyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Old Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Cloyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lukas Dunauskas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Javier Gabirel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrius Bekeris in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Andrius Bekeris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute, Feliciano Leoiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of The Old Boys booed when FK Mintis Vilnius was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arūnas Mažulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute Andrius Bekeris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Gabirel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Lupe Castañeda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over FK Mintis Vilnius could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than The Old Boys throughout the match.
