If Mário Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertha Prasadha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mário Aguiar to strike the kick off in the second half. Mário Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Egídio Guedes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hamdani Supit, made in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Gino Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes, Gala's I Gusti Wibowo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tony Trancoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gala reached it. In the 81st minute, Johannes Zulhaji hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. I Gusti Wibowo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Trancoso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gala's Jajang Sianipar got a free kick in the 95th minute. Gala's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
