Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iosif Boldișor to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Traian Opaina dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maximiliano Aguirrebeña, 0-3. The referee ignored MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's protests and gave Silviu Cutieru a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silviu Cutieru to maneuver through the defense. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
