Dráusio Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dráusio Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SRP-Laguna getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Dráusio Cruz hit a great ball. After some careless play in the SRP-Laguna defense, Iosif Boldișor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edu Schmidt. The SRP-Laguna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edu Schmidt should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Arsenescu in the 17th minute of play forced SRP-Laguna's goalkeeper Edu Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Iosif Boldișor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edu Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelsinho Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Emil Inculeț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SRP-Laguna players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelsinho Mendes made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Silviu Cutieru dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edu Schmidt, 0-4. 57 minutes into the game, Danilo Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
