Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nigel Weinschenck took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 6 played minutes Amager FC got a freekick which was hit by Toke Gelin. In the 10th minute, Vincent Brimberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Maarten Belmans notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Amager FC's Frank Kliving. Frank Kliving was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute Nigel Weinschenck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter-Jan Rijniers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Genk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dries Vrins to maneuver through the defense. Peter-Jan Rijniers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Weinschenck, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Genk's Maarten Belmans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frank Kliving. That made the score 2-0 after 19 minutes of play. In the 23rd minute Toke Gelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter-Jan Rijniers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter-Jan Rijniers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niko Jersbil, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Maarten Belmans in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Frank Kliving, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Genk's Peter-Jan Rijniers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Weinschenck in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Genk's goal looked a bit too open when Nigel Weinschenck came free, but Peter-Jan Rijniers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Nigel Weinschenck in the 38th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Genk's Peter-Jan Rijniers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toke Gelin in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Genk booed when Amager FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niko Jersbil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Amager FC's zone, Maarten Belmans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Kliving came out of the goal and Maarten Belmans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48thth minute of the game Maarten Belmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amager FC's Frank Kliving was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maarten Belmans to make the kick off. If Maarten Belmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute Maarten Belmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Kliving saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Weinschenck in the 67th minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Peter-Jan Rijniers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Charly Tombuer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genk's Peter-Jan Rijniers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Genk from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 75 in the game by Nigel Weinschenck from a close distance when the talented Peter-Jan Rijniers managed to make a qualified save. Genk's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Nigel Weinschenck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter-Jan Rijniers was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Maarten Belmans took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Kliving. Frank Kliving dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nigel Weinschenck got free with Peter-Jan Rijniers in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Micki Arnø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Toke Gelin notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Genk's Peter-Jan Rijniers. Peter-Jan Rijniers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Genk's Charly Tombuer got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Nikolai Maack managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amager FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikolai Maack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Amager FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Genk.
