The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kristian Fogel struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Fabio Marines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Degerfors IF. A collision led to Barcelona de América getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Marin Maiz hit a great ball. Fabio Marines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristian Fogel in the 6th minute. If Angel Tuero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Barcelona de América got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Bazo. After 12 played minutes Barcelona de América got a freekick which was hit by Angel Tuero. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's Torsten Kock got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Gallin. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Javier Landeras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona de América's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Landeras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Ivarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st match minute, Degerfors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Åke Kjellqvist to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Marines stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristian Fogel's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes, Bryant Oyola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcelona de América and the Degerfors IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Barcelona de América got a freekick which was hit by Bryant Oyola. Kristian Fogel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Barcelona de América's Marin Maiz got a free kick in the 34th minute. Fabio Marines was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Torbjörn Gallin. Torsten Kock kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Degerfors IF's Eric Ivarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Tuero in the 40th minute of play. When Angel Tuero came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Barcelona de América fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Tuero couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Torbjörn Gallin hit a great ball.

Barcelona de América made a substitution. Pancho Leceta replaced Calderón Palazuelos. Angel Tueros short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Eric Ivarsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Per-Åke Kjellqvist took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Marines. Fabio Marines dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 62nd minute, Pancho Leceta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marin Maiz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Torbjörn Gallin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Adrian Tunström hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Tunström. Barcelona de América's Alberto Amaya got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th match minute, Degerfors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Kinnman to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Barcelona de América's Eric Ivarsson threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Allen Obando, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 82nd minute, Barcelona de América's Alberto Amaya dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 87 minutes into the game, Torsten Kock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Degerfors IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barcelona de América the free kick. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's Torsten Kock got a free kick in the 88th minute. Per-Åke Kjellqvist hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
