Ruperto Urre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Negri's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Cruzeiro Esporte Clube made a substitution. Eusébio Magalhães replaced Chico de Brito. The wind increased when Anselmo Negri made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Anselmo Negri notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of El ABUELO FC's Ruperto Urre. Ruperto Urre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tomás Txilar managed to get in a good position for a shot. El ABUELO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Txilar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walt Samuel's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walt Samuel helped the player get up and apologised. Vinícius Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Bladi in the 83rd minute of the match.
