When Yanne Luijten fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dark Energy's protests and gave Yanne Luijten a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dark Energy getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Yanne Luijten hit a great ball. Waldemar Puszynski hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Conrad Van den Bergh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yanne Luijten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Jedrzej Grucza made a huge save. Glen Jooris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Puszynski, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Dark Energy's Herve Verheijd got a free kick in the 35th minute. Wladyslaw Borczak's late challenge caught a Dark Energy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wladyslaw Borczak helped the player get up and apologised. Wladyslaw Borczak hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Yanne Luijten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jedrzej Grucza made a huge save. Dark Energy's Glen Jooris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krzysztof Biskupiak in the 42nd minute of play. Skay Škarpa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Glen Jooris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrad Van Achtens during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Skarpa Ełk booed when Dark Energy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrad Van Achtens didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Vandamme was the one to do the kick off. Angelo Vandamme took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jedrzej Grucza. Jedrzej Grucza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Angelo Vandamme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jedrzej Grucza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Glen Jooris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldemar Puszynski in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Mathias-Alexander Vrankx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dark Energy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Jedrzej Grucza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yanne Luijten in the 66th minute of play. Dark Energy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dave Bouwmans in the 68th minute. Mathias-Alexander Vrankx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jedrzej Grucza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Vandamme scored 3-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jedrzej Grucza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75 minutes, Herve Verheijd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dark Energy and the Skarpa Ełk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Dark Energy got a freekick which was hit by Herve Verheijd. Skarpa Ełk's Jedrzej Grucza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Vandamme in the 81st minute of play. Mateusz Wojtkiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Waldemar Puszynski succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 83rd playminute. In the 87th minute Mathias-Alexander Vrankx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jedrzej Grucza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Dark Energy getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Michael Rouckeloos hit a great ball. Dark Energy's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
