The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ben Kolbe hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ege Deniz in the 4th minute of play forced Motala AIF's goalkeeper Adriano Tolin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Laércio de Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriano Tolin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio de Andrade in the 9th minute of play forced Motala AIF's goalkeeper Adriano Tolin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Laércio de Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Adriano Tolin. Motala AIF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 13 minutes into the game, Laércio de Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Adriano Tolin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 16 minutes of play, Internacional's Laércio de Andrade made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adriano Tolin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Internacional's Geronimo Rulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Skarkman in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Internacional's Marian Swoboda got a free kick in the 27th minute. Adriano Tolin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carter Di Fazio went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Laércio de Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Internacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Ysmael Abad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Tolin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Geronimo Rulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Skarkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcin Cebula got free with Geronimo Rulli in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th match minute, Motala AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Skarkman to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Internacional were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Laércio de Andrade who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Adriano Tolin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Skarkman came free, but Geronimo Rulli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Internacional's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
