The tension between the Guarani Futebol Clube and the Maravilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Guarani Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. In the 30th match minute, Guarani Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Custódio to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Cruz Credo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maravilla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guarani Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adalberto de Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adalberto de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Orlan in the 85th minute of play. If Cruz Credo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cruz Credo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adalberto de Moraes was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Paulus Van Poucke hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Maravilla could leave the field as winners, despite Guarani Futebol Clube having more of the ball for most of the match.
