Rogério Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uberlandia-DMZ's Artur Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso da Cunha in the 6th minute of play. Afonso da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso da Cunha in the 10th minute of play forced Uberlandia-DMZ's goalkeeper Artur Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso da Cunha went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Rodrigues in the 17th minute of play. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Rodrigues in the 19th minute of play. Uberlandia-DMZ were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celso Salles took the corner. Flávio da Silva made a great header on Uberlandia-DMZ's corner, it was just that Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni managed to reach the ball for a save. Afonso da Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Rogério Ceni came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Uberlandia-DMZ's Ronaldo Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Zynek in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Zynek in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Zynek in the 43rd minute of play forced Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Rodrigues went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Rogério Ceni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Zynek, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso da Cunha was the one to do the kick off. Ronaldo Rodrigues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rogério Ceni came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldo Rodrigues slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute of the match, Ben Zynek got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rogério Ceni was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 59 minutes into the match, Uberlandia-DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso da Cunha came free, but Artur Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Uberlandia-DMZ's Rogério Ceni threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vladimir Moskvin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Artur Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso da Cunha's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Rogério Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Rodrigues in the 70th minute of the match. Vladimir Moskvin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Rogério Ceni made a huge save. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Steve Harris was substituted for Luca Savini. In the 76th minute of the match Uberlandia-DMZ got a corner. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celso Salles ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 80th minute, Afonso da Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. In the 82nd minute, Uberlandia-DMZ's Ben Zynek ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rogério Ceni. Rogério Ceni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. In the 89th minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso da Cunha's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Artur Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Hartz in the 93rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Uberlandia-DMZ defense, Afonso da Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur Lima. The Uberlandia-DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur Lima should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Uberlandia-DMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
