Árpád Mészáros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuca Queiroz made a great header on ARAUCARIA FC's corner, it was just that FC Budapest's Árpád Mészáros managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee ignored FC Budapest's protests and gave Pál Bollobás a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes FC Budapest got a freekick which was hit by Pál Bollobás. Lukács Madaras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Árpád Mészáros made a huge save. Lukács Madaras's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Árpád Mészáros firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dávid Tóth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lukács Madaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes ARAUCARIA FC got a freekick which was hit by Elano Lopes. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elano Lopes to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, ARAUCARIA FC's goalkeeper Oséias Fantini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dávid Tóth. With his leg Oséias Fantini managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when FC Budapest's Dávid Tóth fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lukács Madaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Árpád Mészáros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Couto during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ARAUCARIA FC booed when FC Budapest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbert Kállai didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 minutes FC Budapest's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ulf Ahlerot who took care of the corner kick. ARAUCARIA FC's Oséias Fantini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save ARAUCARIA FC from getting a goal against them. After 88 minutes, Norbert Dömötör mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Budapest and the ARAUCARIA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, ARAUCARIA FC's Ulf Ahlerot tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 90th match minute, ARAUCARIA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria de Brito to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ARAUCARIA FC's José Maria de Brito got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The ARAUCARIA FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Budapest's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Budapest.
