CS La Libertad's Ernesto Monge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Duda in the 11th minute of play. FC Szombry's Gilbert Lampe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Valassiou in the 15th minute of play. Wiktor Czerniejewski kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. CS La Libertad's Nikos Valassiou got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilbert Lampe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Barrantes in the 21st minute of play. Gilbert Lampe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Barrantes in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Barrantes in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Szombry's goalkeeper Gilbert Lampe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilbert Lampe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Barrantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25thth minute of the game Agustin Barrantes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Szombry's Gilbert Lampe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Gilbert Duda recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernesto Monge. Gilbert Duda showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When CS La Libertad's Nikos Valassiou in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Szombry's goalie prevented a goal. Gilbert Lampe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Valassiou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikos Valassiou in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilbert Lampe saved FC Szombry from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Edgar Piechna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilbert Lampe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Barrantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, FC Szombry's Gilbert Duda got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Gilbert Duda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ernesto Monge made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nikos Valassiou to make the kick off. Gilbert Lampe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustin Barrantes in the 55th minute. CS La Libertad's Ernesto Monge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Duda in the 60th minute of play. Gilbert Lampe made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Agustin Barrantes sent off a good shot on target. The CS La Libertad fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when CS La Libertad's Agustin Barrantes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 67 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Lobo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert Lampe. FC Szombry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Lobo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. CS La Libertad made a substitution. Gerardo Millot replaced Rodrigo Lobo. A collision led to FC Szombry getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Wiktor Czerniejewski hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Mroczynski in the 75th minute of play forced CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Ernesto Monge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Isidro Madriz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CS La Libertad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. After 85 minutes of play, FC Szombry's Gilbert Duda made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Monge was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerardo Millot's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Gilbert Lampe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gilbert Lampe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Volio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Madriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isidro Madriz had several of the FC Szombry's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 90 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-6 score and a disappointed Gilbert Lampe as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thanks to some nice moves Gerardo Millot could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Gilbert Lampe however easily saved by the left post.
