In the 2nd minute, Eddie Pegrum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ayla FC's Nilson Fraser got control of the ball when Christoffer Vestbø tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ayla FC were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Vilbergen Boys Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Larry Knevett took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Vilbergen Boys Club's goalie and right to Ivan Odon. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Vilbergen Boys Club's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 9 minutes into the game, Frankie Beers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ayla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vilbergen Boys Club the free kick. In the 9th match minute, Ayla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frankie Beers to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Oskar Lundin got free with Nilson Fraser in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nilson Fraser made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Kenny Liljeström sent off a good shot on target. When Ayla FC's Silvério Pinhal in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vilbergen Boys Club's goalie prevented a goal. Nilson Fraser made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Christoffer Vestbø sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the match, Vilbergen Boys Club's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Pinhal came free, but Nils Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ayla FC's Rob Porteus suffered a sore thigh after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 23 minutes, Alaaddin Ahlebæk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilbergen Boys Club and the Ayla FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Vilbergen Boys Club got a freekick which was hit by Alaaddin Ahlebæk. The supporters of Ayla FC booed when Vilbergen Boys Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvald Mattsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Osvald Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Fraser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Pinhal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nils Tunander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brayden Duggan in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Ayla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Vestbø came free, but Nilson Fraser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christoffer Vestbø to make the kick off. Ayla FC's Silvério Pinhal got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kenny Liljeström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Pinhal, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Case Dillon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nils Tunander. Vilbergen Boys Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nils Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ellis Pears in the 69th minute of play. Ivan Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Nils Tunander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Pinhal in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils Tunander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 83 minutes into the match, Vilbergen Boys Club's goalkeeper Nils Tunander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ellis Pears. The audience was convinced that Ellis Pears's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils Tunander was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Ellis Pears could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Nils Tunander however easily saved by the left post. In the 93rd minute, John Wayland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sven-Oskar Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nilson Fraser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Lundin in the 94th minute of play. Sven-Oskar Lundin's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Nilson Fraser on his right side and into the goal. 94 minutes into the game it was 2-0.
