Nixon Richards didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amedeo Mameli went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Teodosio Florin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murillo Peixoto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Atlético de Blumenau's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Florin came free, but Murillo Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beat Kellenberger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Murillo Peixoto made a huge save. Nixon Richards made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Turban in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Angelo Beila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nixon Richards showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Robustiano Eufemio kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Divorciados FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Divorciados FC:s Nixon Richards showed great skill when he stopped Amedeo Mameli:s penalty. Teodosio Florin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Murillo Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fabricio Otsoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Beat Kellenberger fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Murillo Peixoto, passed just outside the right post. In the 46th minute Teodosio Florin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Divorciados FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atlético de Blumenau were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The corner led Atlético de Blumenau's Frans Beckenbauer to fire away a dangerous shot which Nixon Richards despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beat Kellenberger in the 88th minute of play forced Atlético de Blumenau's goalkeeper Murillo Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amedeo Mameli in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nixon Richards saved Divorciados FC from getting behind. Haroldo Nazario hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 95th match minute, Divorciados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Eufemio to maneuver through the defense.
