Congo Bongo's Petre Traian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Congo Bongo from getting a goal against them. Damaso Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Banks having to interfere. Damaso Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Andrew Specht in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Malmö White Knights's Otto Bern. Elvijs Presley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petre Traian came out and tried to block the shot, but Elvijs Presley slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's Sergio Austin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Banks narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elvijs Presley got free with Petre Traian in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damaso Sancho to strike the kick off in the second half. Johnny Banks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damaso Sancho's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Damaso Sancho in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Johnny Banks, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Roby Baggio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petre Traian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Petre Traian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roby Baggio in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes in the game Andrew Specht did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Arnaldo Oidor. With a little luck, Malmö White Knights's Johnny Banks got control of the ball when Arnaldo Oidor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnaldo Oidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Johnny Banks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Froilan Iaki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Johnny Banks made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Congo Bongo's Froilan Iaki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Johnny Banks. That made the score 4-1 after 92 minutes of play. Elvijs Presley might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petre Traian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elvijs Presley ran back to his position shaking his head. Petre Traian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvijs Presley in the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Congo Bongo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Malmö White Knights.
