Rolo Compressor FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Duarte ran over to the corner to take the kick. Despite this Gerson Vianna quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Gustavo Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute Ulisses Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Ulisses Duarte made a precise shot to the right of Gerson Vianna. Rolo Compressor FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0.
