The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute Marco Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Jecu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vikingos FC's Sebastián Sosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Vikingos FC from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the match, White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s goal looked a bit too open when Marco Cantona came free, but Costin Jecu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Vikingos FC's corner Marcelo Perico fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Costin Jecu quite easily take care of the ball. Sebastián Sosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cheng Zhan Sheng in the 18th minute. The supporters of White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- booed when Vikingos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Tena didn't get a good kick on the ball. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Liviu Gogu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 22nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sebastián Sosa but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Gogu in the 24th minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cheng Zhan Sheng got free with Sebastián Sosa in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Cantona in the 30th minute of play forced White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s goalkeeper Costin Jecu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vikingos FC's Marcelo Perico was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Costin Jecu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Costin Jecu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Cantona in the 37th minute of play. Sebastián Sosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Gogu in the 39th minute of play. Liviu Gogu had several of the Vikingos FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Sebastián Sosa as he didn't even see the shot coming. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Raphael in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47thth minute of the game Marco Cantona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Costin Jecu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Alejandro Tena charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejandro Tena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sebastián Sosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Gogu, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Raphael in the 60th minute of the match.
