The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Malin Karolev might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Wessel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Malin Karolev ran back to his position shaking his head. 6 minutes into the match, Gep FC's goalkeeper Saul Nesto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Hațegan. In the 8th minute, Ceferino Handi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Gep FC's goalkeeper Saul Nesto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd. Saul Nesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piearres Olalla in the 30th minute of the match. Gep FC's Saul Nesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 34th minute of play. Jan Wessel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malin Karolev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Wessel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Gep FC's Saul Nesto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Gep FC from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Piearres Olalla to strike the kick off in the second half. Saul Nesto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dolf Schoonderwoerd's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. When Dolf Schoonderwoerd came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the The Underdogs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dolf Schoonderwoerd couldn't finish the play. The Underdogs's Riemer Fries managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ceferino Handi in the 56 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in The Underdogs's zone, Sun Xing Jian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Wessel came out of the goal and Sun Xing Jian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 60 minutes, Dolf Schoonderwoerd made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gep FC's Saul Nesto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Saul Nesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gep FC's Saul Nesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 64th minute of play. Zhuo Feng Lei hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Saul Nesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 67th minute of play. When The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gep FC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Zhuo Feng Lei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gep FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zhuo Feng Lei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Hațegan. Saul Nesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Saul Nesto came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd. But to his dismay, Dolf Schoonderwoerd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gep FC's Saul Nesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piearres Olalla in the 80th minute of play. Piearres Olalla took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saul Nesto. Saul Nesto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Saul Nesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 86th minute of play. Dolf Schoonderwoerd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 90 minutes into the match, Gep FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dolf Schoonderwoerd came free, but Saul Nesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, The Underdogs could leave the field as winners, despite Gep FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
