The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, F.C CAN BÄCKEREI's Xose Valtierra threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andreas Stehr, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ulrich-Jürgen Sittarz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zamora Ziarza, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Caldo de Gallina Ranchero booed when F.C CAN BÄCKEREI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Stehr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulrich-Jürgen Sittarz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zamora Ziarza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Zamora Ziarza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's supporters rose to their feet, but Zamora Ziarza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulrich-Jürgen Sittarz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 played minutes Caldo de Gallina Ranchero got a freekick which was hit by Montalvo Caamaño. After a rather tough play, F.C CAN BÄCKEREI's Malte Böhm got a free kick in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, F.C CAN BÄCKEREI's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Bertol came free, but Ulrich-Jürgen Sittarz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Isaias Corrales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd of the match, Timo Schlagbauer tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Xose Valtierra got in the way and made a wonderful save. When Montalvo Caamaño fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's protests and gave Montalvo Caamaño a yellow card for diving instead. F.C CAN BÄCKEREI's Jan Gogolok was substituted for Ksawery Dziuma. A collision led to Caldo de Gallina Ranchero getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Montalvo Caamaño hit a great ball. Timo Schlagbauer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Montalvo Caamaño hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Jose-Antonio Urioste came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ulrich-Jürgen Sittarz could save by the left post.
