The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Geronimo Argi made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Alejo Maties sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute of the match, Elliott Falcão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Geronimo Argi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zachariasz Makomaski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Maureo having to interfere. Eleuterio Maureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Trifan in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Falcão in the 18th minute of play forced Dark Prophets's goalkeeper Geronimo Argi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Dark Prophets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf De Weerdt to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute River de Ramos Mejía were awarded a corner. Celestino Eli went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, River de Ramos Mejía's Mădălin Holban got a free kick in the 28th minute. Geronimo Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Grabiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geronimo Argi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliott Falcão in the 33rd minute of play. Dark Prophets's Geronimo Argi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Dark Prophets from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the match, River de Ramos Mejía's goal looked a bit too open when Zachariasz Makomaski came free, but Eleuterio Maureo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute River de Ramos Mejía were awarded a corner. Celestino Eli went to the cornerflag to take it. Alejo Maties received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Geronimo Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Grabiel made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Grabiel in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geronimo Argi saved Dark Prophets from getting behind. Eleuterio Maureo came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Dark Prophets's Zachariasz Makomaski. But to his dismay, Zachariasz Makomaski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. River de Ramos Mejía's Eleuterio Maureo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Trifan in the 59th minute of play. Mai Ping Yi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eleuterio Maureo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Eleuterio Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Verzeanu in the 62nd minute of play. Geronimo Argi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Grabiel in the 64th minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Angelo Grabiel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dark Prophets's Geronimo Argi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geronimo Argi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Eguntsenti in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Eguntsenti in the 83rd minute of play forced Dark Prophets's goalkeeper Geronimo Argi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Dark Prophets's Sabin Verzeanu got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, River de Ramos Mejía's goalkeeper Eleuterio Maureo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zachariasz Makomaski. When Dark Prophets's Zachariasz Makomaski in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye River de Ramos Mejía's goalie prevented a goal. Dark Prophets's Geronimo Argi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejo Maties in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dark Prophets's Sabin Verzeanu got a free kick in the 94th minute. Dark Prophets were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
