Romulo Jon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute, António Cruz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romulo Jon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 16th match minute, GD Almargense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Cruz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to GD Almargense getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Joško Gvardiol hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, GD Almargense's goalkeeper Claudemiro Tristão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Fernendo. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind EL PEPO FC's goalkeeper Romulo Jon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Celso Eiró cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Romulo Jon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Celso Eiró put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Romulo Jon. Celso Eiró scored 0-5 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romulo Jon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 31 played minutes GD Almargense got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Højlund. Joško Gvardiol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the game, António Cruz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Romulo Jon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

If Emanuel Carvalhal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. EL PEPO FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Celso Eiró scored to the left of an out of position Romulo Jon, making the score, 0-8. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Eiró in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romulo Jon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. António Cruz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. GD Almargense's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. EL PEPO FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Celso Eiró scored to the left of an out of position Romulo Jon, making the score, 0-9. GD Almargense's Zarco Patrício was substituted for Rasmus Højlund. GD Almargense's Carlos Vides was substituted for António Cruz. Romulo Jon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65th play minutes Carlos Vides shot 0-10, a short shot which went by Romulo Jon and just under the crossbar into goal. Romulo Jon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Vides showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-12 in the 77 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Jacinto Baldaia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jacinto Baldaia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Jon having to interfere. EL PEPO FC's Romulo Jon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save EL PEPO FC from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the game, Carlos Vides cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-13. Romulo Jon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Carlos Vides had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romulo Jon. EL PEPO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Vides was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-14.
