Barry Mans started the match with the kick off. Dan Vennersten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvano Blech read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Barry Mans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Blixt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Dick Gernberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvano Blech. RD Hamburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dick Gernberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Dan Vennersten scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvano Blech, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Benjamin Ülger managed to get in a good position for a shot. KD Stiger's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Ülger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvano Blech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamin Blixt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Bautista in the 21st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Andrea Pirlo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benjamin Blixt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to RD Hamburg getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Andrea Pirlo hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes RD Hamburg got a freekick which was hit by Dirk Gulder. In the 45th minute Dick Gernberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Blech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Gernberg in the 47th minute of play forced RD Hamburg's goalkeeper Silvano Blech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

KD Stiger made a substitution. Santiago Ascacíbar replaced Karl-Michael Ersman. RD Hamburg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrea Pirlo in the 55th minute. In the 62nd minute Dick Gernberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Blech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, KD Stiger's goalkeeper Benjamin Blixt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filippo Di Martino. Benjamin Blixt didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when RD Hamburg's Barry Mans shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Abel Keuppens kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, RD Hamburg's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Bållström came free, but Silvano Blech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Blech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Gernberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dick Gernberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 97 minutes, Benjamin Blixt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. It was a well-played corner which Filippo Di Martino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KD Stiger fans cheered their team off the field, for while RD Hamburg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
