But to his dismay, Thierry Henry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hasan Hüseyin Orak in the 6th minute of play forced Musztarda Diżą's goalkeeper Roch Kempka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Thierry Henry came free, but Åke Stål reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Musztarda Diżą's Marcelo Gallardo got a free kick in the 8th minute. Åke Stål made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacy Kinic in the 15th minute of play. Åke Stål showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kanu van Beek, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Musztarda Diżą's Thierry Henry got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacy Kinic came free, but Åke Stål reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacy Kinic took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Åke Stål. Åke Stål dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Alfred Dobrowski came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Musztarda Diżą fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Dobrowski couldn't finish the play. Åke Stål made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kanu van Beek in the 26th minute of play. Remigiusz Anszczak's late challenge caught a Hartlepool's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigiusz Anszczak helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hartlepool booed when Musztarda Diżą was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigiusz Anszczak didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Alfred Dobrowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Åke Stål. Hartlepool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Dobrowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hasan Hüseyin Orak in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roch Kempka saved Musztarda Diżą from getting behind. In the 38th minute Alfred Dobrowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Stål saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacy Kinic's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Stål read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Musztarda Diżą were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Hartlepool's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcelo Gallardo took the corner. Kanu van Beek made a great header on Musztarda Diżą's corner, it was just that Hartlepool's Åke Stål managed to reach the ball for a save. Jiang charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jiang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Åke Stål made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Dobrowski in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After 51 minutes of play Hartlepool's Per-Oskar Kilberg was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfred Dobrowski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Åke Stål. That made the score 0-4 in the 56 minute of play. Åke Stål made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Dobrowski in the 60th minute. Ralf Rask sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Musztarda Diżą made a substitution. Hartlepool's Åke Stål proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Hartlepool from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 89 in the game by Maksymilian Frankowski from a close distance when the talented Åke Stål managed to make a qualified save. Hartlepool's players were relieved. Åke Stål stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maksymilian Frankowski's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the match was over Musztarda Diżą could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hartlepool throughout the match.
