He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in IFK Kik reached it. Battal Gazi Acabay made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Cristoforo Basso sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Olly Morgan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristoforo Valerio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Cristoforo Basso made a precise shot to the right of Battal Gazi Acabay. IFK Kik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Cristoforo Valerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Siemers, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With a little luck, IFK Kik's Battal Gazi Acabay got control of the ball when Cristoforo Basso tried to sneak it across the goal line. As Melfi 1929's Cristoforo Valerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olly Morgan in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, IFK Kik's Krish Melin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristoforo Valerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Krish Melin in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristoforo Valerio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for As Melfi 1929! In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for IFK Kik. Krish Melin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cristoforo Valerio. 1-3. 47 minutes into the match, Olly Morgan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristoforo Valerio. As Melfi 1929's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olly Morgan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Krish Melin in the 52nd minute of play forced As Melfi 1929's goalkeeper Cristoforo Valerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Cristoforo Basso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. As Melfi 1929's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristoforo Basso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind As Melfi 1929's goalkeeper Cristoforo Valerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. As Melfi 1929's Cristoforo Valerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save As Melfi 1929 from getting a goal against them. Cristoforo Valerio came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by IFK Kik's Krish Melin. But to his dismay, Krish Melin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After a rather tough play, As Melfi 1929's Cristoforo Basso got a free kick in the 65th minute. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Olly Morgan sped through As Melfi 1929's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristoforo Valerio. Krish Melin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Valerio having to interfere. IFK Kik made a substitution. Kent Nord replaced Krish Melin. As Melfi 1929's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabrizio Flamini in the 80th minute. After taking down the ball on As Melfi 1929's corner Francesco Farese fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Battal Gazi Acabay quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 2-6 when Francesco Farese sped through IFK Kik's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Battal Gazi Acabay. Ralph Siemers succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-7. 88 minutes into the game, IFK Kik's Kent Nord nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristoforo Valerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-8. 91 minutes into the match, As Melfi 1929's goalkeeper Cristoforo Valerio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kent Nord. Cristoforo Valerio made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Kent Nord sent off a good shot on target. 97 minutes into the match, As Melfi 1929's goalkeeper Cristoforo Valerio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kent Nord.
