Justino Stanislao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Håkansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Stanislao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Suipacha FC's Justino Stanislao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Håkansson in the 28th minute of play. Nils Cane didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Langoni went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Haymakers FC defense, Paulo Dibala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Cane. The Haymakers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Cane should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute, Sven-Olof Blomkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Dibala to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Tommy Josefsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Stanislao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suipacha FC's Ildefonso Senin was substituted for Paulo Dibala. Suipacha FC's Arnaldo Enaut was substituted for Jeronimo Urtsin. In the 59th minute of the match Haymakers FC got a corner. In the 75th minute, Uno Björklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Langoni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Nils Cane made a huge save. Tommy Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Stanislao having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Haymakers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Senin came free, but Nils Cane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Haymakers FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Svatomír Krajíček was slow to take the kick. During this time Suipacha FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Svatomír Krajíček got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nils Cane quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Suipacha FC's Justino Stanislao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Josefsson in the 89th minute of play. After 90 minutes, Ildefonso Senin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suipacha FC and the Haymakers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Suipacha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Senin to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Langoni got free with Nils Cane in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Suipacha FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
