Dé Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Lore in the 6th minute of play. 俞锋烽 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yaseen Bo Hamad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Hegyi came free, but 俞锋烽 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match Ique Football Club got a corner. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Conrado de Salles ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Honrio Carretero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this 俞锋烽 quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 17th minute, Leo Lore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dé Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st match minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Atarrabi to maneuver through the defense. If Yaseen Bo Hamad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José came free, but 俞锋烽 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yaseen Bo Hamad who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of 俞锋烽 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Yaseen Bo Hamads short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got 俞锋烽 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 俞锋烽 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nixon Richards in the 37th minute. If Yaseen Bo Hamad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yaseen Bo Hamad made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yaseen Bo Hamad in the 54th minute of play forced NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalkeeper 俞锋烽 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Ique Football Club were awarded a corner. Conrado de Salles went to the cornerflag to take it. Osvaldinho Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 俞锋烽 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yaseen Bo Hamad, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 64th minute Ique Football Club were awarded a corner. Conrado de Salles went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ique Football Club's Tibor Hegyi to fire away a dangerous shot which 俞锋烽 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Paulo José's late challenge caught a NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo José helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ique Football Club's Paulo José got a free kick in the 69th minute. Baldomiro Pio hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 俞锋烽 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honrio Carretero's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Paulo José stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 俞锋烽 came out of the goal and Paulo José tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tibor Hegyi came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ique Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibor Hegyi couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Paulo José stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 俞锋烽 came out of the goal and Paulo José tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NEWELL´S OLD BOYS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
