An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Tróia in the 5th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Edgard de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Ham, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Montesclarense E.C.'s Edgard de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şerif Kutlualp in the 15th minute of play. Michel Biörnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulão Medeiros in the 21st minute of the match. Paulão Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. The corner led United 11 FC's Dag Ekelund to a score. 0-1 in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute, Aquiles Tróia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgard de Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 35 minutes into the game, Aquiles Tróia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Edgard de Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silvio Ham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Edgard de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Montesclarense E.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. United 11 FC were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Şerif Kutlualp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Michel Biörnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Medeiros in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şerif Kutlualp got free with Edgard de Almeida in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 58 played minutes United 11 FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Ham. Dick Stålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard de Almeida having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, United 11 FC's Silvio Ham sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard de Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgard de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Tróia in the 73rd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Edgard de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şerif Kutlualp. In the 88th minute, Marcos Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şerif Kutlualps short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Edgard de Almeida to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tobias Landin kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ernani Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montesclarense E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ernani Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Biörnberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Montesclarense E.C. defense, Şerif Kutlualp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard de Almeida. The Montesclarense E.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard de Almeida should have stopped the shot.
