Spectators: 158 (Terracing: 119, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kristian Brodin started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the HIT Gorica defense, Per Åberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lan Šorli. The HIT Gorica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lan Šorli should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kristian Brodin got free with Lan Šorli in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute Degerfors IF were awarded a corner. Leonard Christoffersson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Degerfors IF's Leonard Christoffersson to fire away a dangerous shot which Lan Šorli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Kristian Brodin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Richard Koštomaj got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Demeter Denac. Kristian Brodin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lan Šorli having to interfere. A hard shot 25 in the game by Kristian Brodin from a close distance when the talented Lan Šorli managed to make a qualified save. HIT Gorica's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duško Turnšek in the 26th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Sebastian Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lan Šorli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Brodin, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute Kristian Brodin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lan Šorli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristian Brodin kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot HIT Gorica's keeper Lan Šorli was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Kristian Brodin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Lan Šorli made a huge save. After taking down the ball on Degerfors IF's corner Leonard Christoffersson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lan Šorli quite easily take care of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's Kristian Brodin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lan Šorli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Per Åberg hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Sebastian Sandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Istok Šabotić, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After 47 played minutes HIT Gorica got a freekick which was hit by Richard Koštomaj. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duško Turnšek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lan Šorli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristian Brodin's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 61st minute Kristian Brodin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lan Šorli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kristian Brodin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lan Šorli was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The corner led Degerfors IF's Per Åberg to a score. 3-0 in the 66th minute. If Kristian Brodin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Per Åberg fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Degerfors IF's protests and gave Per Åberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of HIT Gorica booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Åberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in HIT Gorica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Duško Turnšek in the 75th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Sebastian Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Per Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Degerfors IF's Henrik Nordlund managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Grozdan Mešić in the 81 minute of the game. Lan Šorli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristian Brodin's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After 83 minutes of play, Degerfors IF's Kristian Brodin made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lan Šorli was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 86 played minutes HIT Gorica got a freekick which was hit by Duško Turnšek. Lan Šorli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Brodin in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, HIT Gorica's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Christoffersson came free, but Lan Šorli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Kristian Brodin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerfors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristian Brodin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kristian Brodin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Lan Šorli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Per Åberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lan Šorli. HIT Gorica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Per Åberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Grozdan Mešić kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 98th minute Kristian Brodin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lan Šorli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Degerfors IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
