The Original Wonderteam's Philip Boffin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wyatt Jeffers in the 23rd minute of play. Jeremy Blomme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Cutberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nacional Potosí's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Giovanny Verhengen was slow to take the kick. During this time The Original Wonderteam's players had a chance to rest. Jeremy Blomme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Cutberto in the 38th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, The Original Wonderteam's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Abello came free, but Philip Boffin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Ronny Rau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of The Original Wonderteam booed when Nacional Potosí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Cutberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Original Wonderteam's Alek Candries was substituted for Rafael Cutberto. Marcelo Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Nacional Potosí defense, Alek Candries kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremy Blomme. The Nacional Potosí fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremy Blomme should have stopped the shot. In the 79th match minute, The Original Wonderteam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alek Candries to maneuver through the defense. Jeremy Blomme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Rau in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Specht during the 84th minute.
