In the 17th minute Marvin Salamanca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaap van der Schans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaap van der Schans came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Matanza and Steelers's César Lucas. But to his dismay, César Lucas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Westenenk defense, Marvin Salamanca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaap van der Schans. The Westenenk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaap van der Schans should have stopped the shot. Valio Tammisto hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Westenenk's goal looked a bit too open when Marvin Salamanca came free, but Jaap van der Schans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Tello in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Salamanca in the 44th minute of play forced Westenenk's goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Westenenk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wieslaw Posadzki to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wieslaw Posadzki was the one to do the kick off. Renan Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valio Tammisto in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match, Leysus Oktavianus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jaap van der Schans saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wiliam Peixoto replaced César Lucas. 92 minutes into the match, Westenenk's goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marvin Salamanca. The supporters of Westenenk booed when Matanza and Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clóvis Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Eddy van den Eede managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westenenk's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddy van den Eede was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Westenenk fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Matanza and Steelers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
