The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the game Basarab Trif made a throw-in which Miroslav Kvita played forward. Miroslav Kvita struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Godofredo Bras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arroyito FC. The supporters of C. S. D. Pueyrredón booed when Arroyito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Trif didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Basarab Trif hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Arroyito FC's Carlos Navarro Montoya got control of the ball when Teobaldo Rosario tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Rosario in the 18th minute of play forced Arroyito FC's goalkeeper Carlos Navarro Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Arroyito FC's zone, Teobaldo Rosario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Navarro Montoya came out of the goal and Teobaldo Rosario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godofredo Bras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel-Omar Santirso in the 25th minute of the match. In the 29thth minute of the game Teobaldo Rosario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arroyito FC's Carlos Navarro Montoya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Basarab Trif kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Arroyito FC's Basarab Trif got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Godofredo Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Santirso in the 36th minute of play. Teobaldo Rosario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gabriel-Omar Santirso might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godofredo Bras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel-Omar Santirso ran back to his position shaking his head.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel-Omar Santirso to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Arroyito FC's zone, David Beckham Jr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Navarro Montoya came out of the goal and David Beckham Jr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arroyito FC made a substitution. Siro Toli replaced Moises Rojelio. C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Halil İbrahim Yeltekin was substituted for Teobaldo Rosario. In the 75th minute Halil İbrahim Yeltekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel-Omar Santirso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Bras having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Halil İbrahim Yeltekin in the 81st minute of play forced Arroyito FC's goalkeeper Carlos Navarro Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th match minute, C. S. D. Pueyrredón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Ermano to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Constantino Ermano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godofredo Bras was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Basarab Trif. If Halil İbrahim Yeltekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Halil İbrahim Yeltekin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Navarro Montoya having to make a save. In the 93rd minute, Basarab Trif hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Halil İbrahim Yeltekin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Navarro Montoya was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Despite being the better team, Arroyito FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
