Biagio Di Marzio hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After 3 minutes, Abdullah Oskan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cesano Boscone and the Club El Progreso players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Cesano Boscone got a freekick which was hit by Abdullah Oskan. Alto Muro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Adolfo Fidensio. Alto Muro made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Indiana Jones sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cleto Cordaro got free with Alto Muro in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alto Muro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indiana Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesano Boscone's Alto Muro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Cesano Boscone from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Club El Progreso's Matia Aranzabal got a free kick in the 26th minute. Guillermo McDaniel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alto Muro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indiana Jones in the 32nd minute of play. Benjamin Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdullah Oskan, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Abdullah Oskan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Tino was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The supporters of Club El Progreso booed when Cesano Boscone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carter Malatesta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Cesano Boscone's goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but Alto Muro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match Club El Progreso got a corner. Cesano Boscone's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adolfo Fidensio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Club El Progreso's Adolfo Fidensio to fire away a dangerous shot which Alto Muro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 44 played minutes Cesano Boscone got a freekick which was hit by Henry Hauser. 45 minutes into the match, Cesano Boscone's goalkeeper Alto Muro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cleto Cordaro. After a rather tough play, Cesano Boscone's Abdullah Oskan got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cesano Boscone's goalie and right to Bonifacio Txindoki. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cesano Boscone's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Benjamin Tino made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Abdullah Oskan sent off a good shot on target. When Diego Portela fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club El Progreso's protests and gave Diego Portela a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Club El Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Diego Portela. Cesano Boscone's Biagio Ramoser was substituted for Alex Maggi. Cesano Boscone made a substitution. Paul McCartney replaced Dave Odisio. After 65 played minutes Club El Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Diego Portela. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdullah Oskan got free with Benjamin Tino in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benjamin Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Hauser in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biagio Ramoser in the 78th minute of play forced Club El Progreso's goalkeeper Benjamin Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Biagio Ramoser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biagio Ramoser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Club El Progreso's Enzo Bot was substituted for Indiana Jones. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
