The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Sorin Enciulescu came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the CSD Concepción fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sorin Enciulescu couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the game, CSD Concepción's Sorin Enciulescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mías Khalifa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Richard Murillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tincho Palermo in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Enciulescu in the 15th minute of play forced Simbo FC's goalkeeper Mías Khalifa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Simbo FC's goalkeeper Mías Khalifa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sabri Ravelli made in the 23rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Boleslaw Sidorowicz immediately put the ball in play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tincho Palermo in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Murillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sorin Enciulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes Simbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Trinidad. 42 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sorin Enciulescu came free, but Mías Khalifa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of CSD Concepción booed when Simbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Leocadio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Simbo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CSD Concepción were winning 0-1.

CSD Concepción's Richard Murillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tincho Palermo in the 52nd minute of play. Richard Murillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boleslaw Sidorowicz in the 55th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, CSD Concepción's goal looked a bit too open when Tincho Palermo came free, but Richard Murillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CSD Concepción's Lauro Argandoña was substituted for Serafín Jarpa. CSD Concepción's Baltazar Clavijo was substituted for Damazy Warka. CSD Concepción's Manuel Antonio Amenábar was substituted for Sorin Enciulescu. Tuto Villarroel kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Miliano Sacristán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simbo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miliano Sacristán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, CSD Concepción's Manuel Antonio Amenábar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mías Khalifa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Simbo FC's Mías Khalifa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Simbo FC from getting a goal against them. Nestor Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Murillo having to interfere. Richard Murillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miliano Sacristán in the 95th minute of play. The Simbo FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing CSD Concepción to win.
