After 10th play minutes Roni Coryn shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Hermann Hesse and just under the crossbar into goal. When Rius Mascaran fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Popolizio FBC's protests and gave Rius Mascaran a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evelio Inguanzo got free with Leo Dauwen in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Åkesson came free, but Hermann Hesse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Popolizio FBC's zone, Torsten Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermann Hesse came out of the goal and Torsten Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Evelio Inguanzo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leo Dauwen. That made the score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Bacardi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Voet to maneuver through the defense. Evelio Inguanzos short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Leo Dauwen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Leo Dauwen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evelio Inguanzo went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evelio Inguanzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Hermann Hesse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roni Coryn in the 61st minute of play. Evelio Inguanzo struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Leo Dauwen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Popolizio FBC. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Erruki Velarroa replaced Evelio Inguanzo. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Tom Misaki was substituted for Rius Mascaran. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Torbjørn Trondsen replaced Nils Gielis. A collision led to Bacardi FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Karel Christiaens hit a great ball. Leo Dauwen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjørn Trondsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leo Dauwen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjørn Trondsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 84 minutes Bacardi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cris Ronaldo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Erhan Eroğul got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leo Dauwen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leo Dauwen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erruki Velarroa's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Erruki Velarroa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erruki Velarroa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Dauwen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Deportivo Popolizio FBC had won after a very even match.
