The audience was convinced that Marco Löhr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şenol Güneş was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Şenol Güneş stood somewhat misplaced when Marco Löhr came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 10 minute. 12 minutes into the game, Taribo West recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Şenol Güneş. Taribo West came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. Şenol Güneş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Şenol Güneş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Bâru, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, LOS MENTI's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Löhr came free, but Şenol Güneş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Albeiro Usuriaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şenol Güneş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the LOS MENTI defense, Albeiro Usuriaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şenol Güneş. The LOS MENTI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şenol Güneş should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute of the match, Simon Iratze tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pastor Frantzes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Şenol Güneş came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Isótopos V.M.'s Albeiro Usuriaga. But to his dismay, Albeiro Usuriaga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. A collision led to LOS MENTI getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Angelo Abeijon hit a great ball.
