Kartal Namal came out of the goal and Markos Seremetidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Abechuco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saruhan Vuralhan having to interfere. Chayo Abascal charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chayo Abascal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 28 minutes, Markos Seremetidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Ajax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markos Seremetidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's Markos Seremetidis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kartal Namal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AFC Ajax's Saruhan Vuralhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Rodrigues in the 33rd minute of play. Kartal Namal made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Markos Seremetidis sent off a good shot on target. Markos Seremetidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kartal Namal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Markos Seremetidis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 39thth minute of the game Michelangelo Merganiotis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético San Alejandro's Kartal Namal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chayo Abascal made in the 41st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cevat Tekinalp however managed to control. 43 minutes into the game, Markos Seremetidis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kartal Namal. Markos Seremetidis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Markos Seremetidis during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Markos Seremetidis kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Alexandre Rodrigues made the kick off in the second half. Markos Seremetidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 55 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Michelangelo Merganiotis. AFC Ajax's Alexandros Sardanis was substituted for Markos Seremetidis. Kartal Namal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandros Sardanis in the 59th minute of the match. Alexandros Sardanis struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Kartal Namal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Ajax. Kartal Namal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandros Sardanis went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Saruhan Vuralhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elia Merczak in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute of the match, Alexandre Rodrigues tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saruhan Vuralhan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Atlético San Alejandro were furious when Velasco Abello was red carded, 70 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 69th minute, one of Atlético San Alejandro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético San Alejandro. The referee gave AFC Ajax a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alexandros Sardanis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético San Alejandro's Kartal Namal. 6-0. Kartal Namal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandros Sardanis, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. German Sarracino helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Atlético San Alejandro booed when AFC Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Sarracino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandros Sardanis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kartal Namal having to make a save. There was no doubt that AFC Ajax were the better team. AFC Ajax's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
