The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Edgard Txilar put in a rough tackle. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deuce Athletic Club! In the 28th minute, Raimundo Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raimundo Vargas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karl Österberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Raimundo Vargas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 31st minute. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Leopoldo Ospin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Åke Ivarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Deuce Athletic Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
