The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Augusto Jurdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elvio Pacho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tord Söderqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Phelipe got free with Vicky Donda in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Cha Fe FC defense, Tord Söderqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvio Pacho. The Cha Fe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvio Pacho should have stopped the shot. When Tord Söderqvist came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tord Söderqvist couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Söderqvist in the 21st minute of play forced Cha Fe FC's goalkeeper Elvio Pacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes of play, ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Tord Söderqvist made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elvio Pacho was left in no man's land by his defense there! ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Vicky Donda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavi Iniesta in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Söderqvist in the 33rd minute of play forced Cha Fe FC's goalkeeper Elvio Pacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Teobaldo Phelipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicky Donda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Vicky Donda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the game, Tord Söderqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Elvio Pacho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, Cha Fe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tord Söderqvist came free, but Elvio Pacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tord Söderqvist struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Elvio Pacho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ. Gogo Nuno hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Elvio Pacho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lajos Szatmári in the 45th minute of play. The Cha Fe FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ were winning 1-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Achille Tripodi made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tord Söderqvist got free with Elvio Pacho in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cha Fe FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dobromir Bara was slow to take the kick. During this time ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 56 minutes, Tord Söderqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tord Söderqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tord Söderqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Lajos Szatmári managed to get in a good position for a shot. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's supporters rose to their feet, but Lajos Szatmári was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Pacho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cha Fe FC's Eduardo Mede was substituted for Rogelio Ibon. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ made a substitution. Hernan Chico replaced Guaberto Haritz. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ made a substitution. Rıfkı Erdönmez replaced Lajos Szatmári. Elvio Pacho made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Rıfkı Erdönmez sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute, ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Rıfkı Erdönmez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elvio Pacho. Elvio Pacho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenico Masetti in the 76th minute of play forced Cha Fe FC's goalkeeper Elvio Pacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Cha Fe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Masetti came free, but Elvio Pacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domenico Masetti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Elvio Pacho made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Tripodi in the 83rd minute of play forced ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's goalkeeper Vicky Donda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achille Tripodi scored 2-4 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicky Donda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Cha Fe FC's Elvio Pacho got control of the ball when Domenico Masetti tried to sneak it across the goal line. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
